Peter Dutton’s use of Port Arthur in a recent speech draws criticism from readers.

It demonstrates his lack of understanding of the impact of that awful event. The eagerness of other senior members of the Coalition to defend his comments is incredibly disappointing.

Equally disingenuous is Dutton’s misrepresentation of Anthony Albanese’s and Penny Wong’s advocacy for an eventual two-state solution conditional on the absence of Hamas, as a means to bring long-term peace to both Israel and Palestine. Dutton omits to mention their stated requirement for this solution, of the absence of Hamas. Australians deserve better.Re “Squeezed into Balwyn” , mammoth houses are being built all over Melbourne.

As a Geelong supporter with no allegiance to either team in the game, the vision of a ″⁣crybaby″⁣ sledging gesture from this immature young footballer stuck in my craw.
