Police in Dubai have arrested a group of people on charges of public debauchery over a video showing naked women posing on a balcony.The UAE has strict laws regarding 'lewd behaviour'Violations of the public decency law in the United Arab Emirates, including for nudity and other "lewd behaviour," carry penalties of up to six months in jail and a 5,000 dirham fine.
The sharing of pornographic material is also punishable with prison time and hefty fines under the country's laws, which are based on Islamic, or sharia, law. Late on Saturday, videos and photographs depicting over a dozen naked women lined up on a balcony while being filmed in Dubai's upscale Marina neighbourhood in broad daylight were splashed across social media.According to the Dubai Police, a criminal case has been registered against the arrested people, and they have been referred to the public prosecutor for further legal action.
The UAE has strict laws governing public behaviour, where even kissing in public or drinking alcohol without a licence has landed people in jail."Such unacceptable behaviours," the police statement said, "do not reflect the values and ethics of Emirati society."

It appears the UAE have their own laws for advantage of the men in power. Unfortunately hypocrisy is rife all across the middle east especially with many horrific crimes of abuse of women, rape including being held against their will behind locked doors.
