If our brains are so bad at assessing risk, how do we rationally decide whether to have AstraZeneca’s vaccine? | liammannix

For people, including AstraZeneca. This is because the chances of getting COVID-19 have increased dramatically for everyone living in that area.. In areas with no or few infections, ATAGI feels the risks of AstraZeneca outweigh the benefits. What are my chances of catching COVID-19?

This is an argument in favour of vaccination in general. But the question here is whether you should get AstraZeneca, but vaccine rollout deadlines seem to have a way of being missed at the moment…

theqza liammannix It’s very easy: it’s far safer to get the vaccine than to not get the vaccine. Problem solved.

liammannix How about if you need bi-annual shots? What is the risk of then?

liammannix We can ask thr same question about everything. Including electing our public officials

liammannix This is very interesting, but it forgets the risk of passing the virus on even if vaccinated. This especially applies to vaccination with AZ. The elderly are more in need of protection so should be eligible now for Pfizer with its faster full protection.

liammannix I’m doing my death plan and guardianship before I take the AstraZeneca. If I think it’s risky for me (as someone who spent months with a long-Covid -like sickness in 2019) then I take it seriously.

liammannix If you’d very likely be infected right at this very moment then AZ is the better of the two death risks.

liammannix My brain assesses risk fine thanks

liammannix Loving your advertorials...

Doing the maths on AstraZenecaIf our brains are so bad at assessing risk, how do we rationally decide whether to have AstraZeneca’s vaccine? | ANALYSIS covid19 AstraZeneca vaccines Is there an anti Astra Zeneca campaign from the Australian Media? Seems no significant difference in the risks. However, an official position equal to 'not sure about this one, just give it to the old guys, they are going to die anyway' makes people nervous and suspicious. Let's wind the risk assessment back further. Why are people wetting the bed over a cold that vast majority survive & is basically only deadly to old or sick people.

Australia’s Pacific Island vaccination campaign kicks into gearMinister for International Development and the Pacific, Zed Seselja, says the vaccine rollout to island nations has had “significant uptake” as COVID-19 continues to impact the region. I wish i had the foresight to invest in one of these pharmaceuticals back in 2019. That along with toilet paper manufacturers.......I'd be laughing by now. This is interesting! Love it. Nobody in Oz wants the Astra so ship it off to the islanders, they wont know the difference...
