The Queensland Government has announced tougher new penalties for dog owners who leave their pets in hot cars.

Under the amended laws, owners could be fined $40,000 and face a year behind bars, even if the pet doesn't suffer heat stress. The penalties would apply wherever there's potential to cause the pet harm after the RSPCA was alerted to more than 1,300 cases of dogs being locked in hot cars in 2018. Image: Getty

There's an out there. Could. If they are anything like Vic many will just get the talking to.

And or a year in a hot car!

Great news peta is it still ok to use cats for crab pot bait?

This is good news. Yet parents who leave babies in hot cars get tea and sympathy. Maybe the same, or tougher penalties should be applied to parents.

Instead of punishment for just leaving dogs in hot cars, how about tougher punishment on all types of animal cruelty?

And what do you get for bashing a member of the public without cause or an emergency worker ? Relativity would help !

That's excellent
