' Prince Andrew is so bad that it's laughable': Duke of York slammed in new Netflix film dramatising notorious Newsnight interview
Andrew’s car crash interview has become one of the most notorious royal scoops of all time and the fallout from the globally-televised sit down ended his career as a working royal. Netflix will release a film version of the sit-down that is based on Newsnight producer Sam McAlister’s memoir Scoops. The film has cast Gillian Anderson in the role of Maitlis while Rufus Sewell will portray the Duke of York and Charity Wakefield will portray Princess Beatrice in a supporting role.
“It’s a real nail biter, they’ve turned it into a thriller but yet they acknowledge the real victims in this, the sex trafficking victims,” he said.“They kind of take the approach where some of the actions, particularly when it relates to Prince Andrew, is that it's so bad that it's laughable.
