Healthcare workers at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne will be taking part in a clinical trial to investigate whether controversial drug hydroxychloroquine can protect doctors and nurses while they treat COVID-19 positive patients.
The trial – nicknamed "COVID SHIELD" – will involve half of the participant group being given hydroxychloroquine tablets, while the other half will receive placebo tablets over the course of four months.Every day ambulances stream in, and doctors and nurses gear up and cover themselves head to toe in serious personal protective gear.
Hydroxychloroquine is commonly used in the treatment of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, and first received attention after US President Donald Trump spoke of it being a treatment for COVID-19. The Therapeutic Goods Administration has said the drug poses "well-known" risks to patients and should not be taken outside of clinical trials.

Actually many Doctors have been using it for their patients & they have survived.... It needs to be used at the beginning of virus not when you are too ill & in the right blend & amounts with other meds... Trials using it too late not in the correct mix etc are fake trials !!!
Problem is 10-30% have zinc deficiency - needs to be prescribed with zinc

The trial should also be given to aged care residents- low dose hydroxychloroquine+zinc ( as HCQ potentiates the anti-viral effect of zinc as it is an ionophore)+doxycycline. Bromhexine, OTC mucolytic increases the prophylactic effect

The drug is so controversial that it's been used for decsdes, given to children and is safe for pregnant women which vaccines arent and have never been tested in clinical studies to prove otherwise(read the insert) yet doctors have no problems forcing flu and whooping cough vax

Himalaya202009 Take HCQ and zinc together for the prophylaxis to work. Honestly, what have you got to lose ? Zero side effects for most people when taken at low dose ie one hcq tablet per week and 25mg elemental zinc a day.
It works and we know it works. Tons of evidence. Not just anecdotal but scientific studies. They know it works so this is either a delay tactic or set up to fail like the study that was retracted from the Lancet. Disgusting subterfuge. Bunch of liars.

The treatment of Hydroxychloroquine needs a combination of zinc sulfrate and a antibiotic to work to control the virus in the early stages...... This combination has being use in other countries around the world with some success.

This trial is a SET UP to discredit HCQ and push the need for a vax. 1 group gets HCQ, another a placebo. Doctors around the world say it needs to be taken with ZINC and azithromycin.
It's meant work when taken early after already catching the virus, I've never heard that it's meant to protect you from getting it in the first place. This seems like it's intentionally set up to fail.
