Ms O'Connor said it happened on senior scientist Amanda Reeves's last day at work, as she was cleaning her desk after being made redundant. Managing scientist Cathie Allen later retrieved the documents from the bin and summoned the three workers seen near Ms Reeves's desk for interviews, the inquiry heard.
"What's wrong with throwing confidential documents into a confidential destruction bin? That's what it's for, isn't it?" the Commissioner, Walter Sofronoff KC, asked.

Governments pledge to end violence against women and children within a generationThe commitment is at the centre of a new 10-year national strategy released by Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth, designed to coordinate federal and state action to eliminate gender-based violence. While I am all in support of the cause, it'll take more than a generation to end masculine violence. There will be no child living in poverty... There will be no carbon tax... I dont understand why police cant take action against men who have assaulted their partners. It shouldn't be up to the terrified traumatized individual to make a complaint or to appear in court.
