Nick Kyrgios has backed the Serb but many others resent his refusal to be vaccinated and his conduct in Australia

The ATP revealed last week that 97 of the men’s top 100 have been vaccinated. Many, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, were reluctant to get the jab at first, but did so because they knew that was what was required to continue playing on the tour. Rafael Nadal said in November that not getting vaccinated is “a bit selfish”. Djokovic chose not to.

Support has come from the most unlikely of sources, in the form of Nick Kyrgios, hardly his biggest fan. De Minaur’s compatriot, who said he was vaccinated “for others and my mother’s health”, is highly critical of how Australia has treated Djokovic. “It’s just a shit-show,” Kyrgios told the No Boundaries Podcast. “It’s not even about the vaccination any more. I feel so sorry for him.“How we’re dealing with stuff is just so embarrassing.

Of course, the rest of them took a paycheck from the pharmaceutical companies unlike him... makes sense 👍🏼

Rightly so, and now we the tax payer foot the bloody Novaks legal bill but Govt can't afford to give Australians free RAT test while we groan in economic and health pain. Where is the civility in this.

He should never have been approved in the first place. Tennis Australia have some serious soul searching to do

He thinks he has a golden ticket to do whatever he wishes and make up the rules as he goes along. If he did this in the USA or UK he would be treated the same.

127 tennis players followed the rules, 1 didn’t, I have no sympathy for him.
