A possum has been dismembered in a NSW park with police saying the marsupial's head and tail were found a short distance from its body.NSW Police are calling for the community to help catch whoever committed the horrific act of animal cruelty in Murrumburrah earlier this month.
A possum's dismembered body was found on the banks of Currawong Creek in Murrumburrah earlier this month. A council worker made the grisly discovery at a picnic and play area on Albury Street on the banks of the Currawong Creek on the morning of November 1. The employee initially found the possum's severed tail before coming across the severed head and body nearby.Anyone with information that may assist police with their investigation is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
