Disability service platforms cut staff as start-up downturn comes to NDIS | angusthomson_

Disability support platforms Mable and Hireup have cut office staff as the start-up sector grapples with investors wary of rising inflation and interest rates, and NDIS service providers complain of financial struggles.

Hireup co-chief executive Jordan O’Reilly announced on August 10 the company, which employs its frontline service providers, would cut 35 back office roles, or 10 per cent, “with deep sadness” to ensure its long-term sustainability. Hireup, which was founded in 2015, said its frontline workforce of more than 10,000 disability support workers would not be affected and it was continuing to invest to improve its service.

angusthomson_ The NDIS budget is blown.

angusthomson_ I’ve read that so many people on their platforms sign up but never get any work

angusthomson_ Both maybe alright in big cities but are both useless in regional areas. Constantly get sent jobs that are 100-150kms away. Like all big NDIS companies I’m sure the CEOs haven’t taken a pay cut just got bigger bonuses

Eight disability employment services are to be shut down, as sector faces overhaulEight providers of disability employment services are set to be effectively shut down by the federal government, as part of wide-ranging overhaul of the sector. ABC are making out this is a bad thing. It is stopping the waste of money for very poor or nearly non-existent services by these so called 'providers'. This overhaul is much needed And I give you the failures, failures and failures of the LNP One provider with roughly 650 clients received close to $900,000 in government funding throughout 2021, but placed just six people in jobs that lasted half a year or longer, and only one that lasted more than a year

Market downturns beget more hostile, less friendly M&AAs we watch the economic headwinds facing us in the 2022-23 financial year, it is only reasonable to expect we are likely to see more hostile activity in the short term. The common people have saved you selfish self-important greedy-arsed bandit bankers once already, with no thanks or recognition. This time I’d rather you all went to hell in a hand basket, even if we all have to go down with you.

Here's why. Can we stop talking about this poor excuse for a human being Sadly situations like these are going to get a lot worse with the woke left trying to take equality away from women and ensuring only those born male have equality.
