The Gold Coast father and son who were found dead after their plane crashed in northern NSW forest have been remembered as "generous and selfless".
Gold Coast man Matthew Hills was identified as one of the men who died during a plane crash in northern NSW forest on Friday. The Westpac rescue helicopter crew was unable to access the crash site due to poor weather conditions with rain and low clouds.Emergency services were sent to the site in steep and heavily wooded terrain to reach the wreckage.
“We are devastated by this tragedy and our hearts, prayers and thoughts are with Jenny, Jamie, Josh and the entire family.“Although we are rocked by this tragedy, we find peace in Christ, our true foundation and where we find hope and refuge during this difficult time.”Matthew studied at Emmanuel College and worked at iFly Indoor Skydiving.
"I would not be where I am today without him and the opportunities that he gave me over the last 8 years and for that, I will forever be thankful."He, like his father, would go out of his way to help you or your family and friends, even if he didn’t know them, wherever you needed it.
RIP
