Sky News host Andrew Bolt said the real solution to Australia’s fight against coronavirus is not a lockdown of all non-essential businesses.

The government’s response should not be what “gung-ho Premiers like Victoria’s Dan Andrews wants”, which is a total shut down of all non-essential business, Mr Bolt

said. Mr Bolt said the new approach “must instead be to quarantine all people, all people coming from overseas, as the government today said would now happen. Image: AP

Andrew Bolt should infect himself with Covid19 and then give his opinion.. Sick of idiots speculating on something they have zero experience on..

I find it weird that Bolt and Roskam are so concerned for what a lockdown will do to the economy for younger generations but when the younger generation protests on for measures to mitigate climate change, they're ruthless in their condemnation.

👍🏼👏🏼

Andrew Bolt, renowned climatologist and statistician, turns his hand and being an economist and immunologist. The death of expertise in this country is mark by the rise of opinion writers like Bolt. auspol

agreed! Please learn from Singapore and taiwan . Economy go on as usual. They are using today technology to trace contacts and where the quarantine people are to prevent clusters spreadings Aust was not well prepared was still taking it too lightly with SocialDistancing .

History n the experts teach that viruses are fought best when they are isolated n contained at the beginning n not at the end after they have already spread. Humans tragically forgot to adopt the leper style colony system n freely allowed the infected ones into the communities.

So it's been calculated that assets bubbles are more critical than public health.

Panic is not good, but the world is honestly not prepared medically for the challenge they face. (You want to decide who gets respirators and who dies.) What about us oldies whose going to decide who lives or dies as each hospital has but a handful of respirators?

Warnings that Indonesia is on the brink of a coronavirus surgeOne political analyst said the Indonesian government's response has been marked by 'denial, complacency and a lack of transparency.' Denial, complacency and lack of transparency... So, business as usual for the Indonesian government? Yet Garuda flights land in Sydney all week. Combine that approach with a pandemic, and you have the world's highest death rate. It chills me to think about how many mass graves are being made around the world at the moment.

How Australians are adapting to strict new rules for weddings and funeralsAustralia's wedding and funeral providers are rapidly adapting to new COVID-19 restrictions. I am two percent Jewish. A virtual record of the funeral? A drone capturing the ceremony, a mobile phone capturing the burial, cremation? Saved in the “ cloud “ for perpetuity! There’s a business opportunity!💰⚰️🏮😷

Toni is worried her son Joshy will be left behind by Australia's COVID-19 responseHealth and disability organisations call governments to make sure people living with intellectual disabilities aren't overlooked during the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope Joshy gets the care he deserves and needs. A family in Geelong I know have lost the majority of the NDIS care for their high needs son because it's not an 'essential service'. They are left with only one carer prepared to visit. I suspect because of their low income status. covid19australia EugenicsByStealth auspol MORRISON DONATE YOUR SALARY TO CHARITY LIKE TRUMP HAS DONE

Coles workers strike over COVID-19 | Sky News AustraliaMorning shift workers at a Coles distribution centre in Victoria have resumed duties after about 80 walked off the job to demand additional safety measures against COVID-19.\n\nThe workers claimed the 1.5 metre distancing rule wasn’t being enforced at the centre and workers were only being given one alcohol wipe at the start of their shifts and one at the end, despite using communal equipment.\n\nThe measures have all been agreed to with operations returning to normal. Disgraceful action from these workers. Disrespectful to fellow victorians and especially the healthcare workers on the true frontline The way the branding is smashed into eyes everytime. So you think they should continue to risk their own lives and other because the company won’t provide further safe guards you are kidding yourself. As essential workers they should receive everything they want with out question.

Anti-horse racing activists send ‘fraudulent’ COVID-19 health warning | Sky News AustraliaA “fraudulent” text message purporting to be from Qld Health called for Prime Minister Scott Morrison to ban horse racing to stop the spread of COVID-19.\n\nAnti-horse racing activists sent the message from an account named “QLDHealth” with a link to a change.org petition calling for horse racing to be banned.\n\n“Sign this petition to put horse racing on HOLD and stop the spread of COVID-19,” the fake health text said.\nThe message then linked to a Change.org petition which was aimed at convincing Prime Minister Scott Morrison to ban horse racing.\n\n“The Horse Racing industry think they are above and beyond the rest of the community as they continue to irresponsibly promote against social distancing with masses working at large racing stables, at racetracks in early morning trackwork and on race day,” the activists wrote in the petition.\n\n“This is a non-essential business that will only cause the viruses to transmit and subsequently cause deaths.\n“We need to shut down the largest industries for at least a month, or many of us will lose parents, grandparents or our own lives. If you're older with heart disease, diabetes, COPD or happen to be a smoker and get the disease, then it's all over.”\n\nQld Health told Sky News the message was a fake and confirmed it was probing how QldHealth managed to be named as the sender of the text message.\n\n'It is definitely fraudulent and not something we would send out. We are working to figure out how to happened,” a Qld Health spokesman said.\n\nQld health also released a statement saying 'the text message in your enquiry has not been sent by Queensland Health – we are not petitioning to shut down horse racing'. Put it in the 'Angus' file Hope they feel the full force of the law Personally I hope if nothing else comes good from covid19australia at least the greyhound racing industry ends. Can't believe it ever won and destroyed Mike Baird's premiership. 19th Century pastimes.
