Morning shift workers at a Coles distribution centre in Victoria have resumed duties after about 80 walked off the job to demand additional safety measures against COVID-19.

The workers claimed the 1.

5 metre distancing rule wasn’t being enforced at the centre and workers were only being given one alcohol wipe at the start of their shifts and one at the end, despite using communal equipment. The measures have all been agreed to with operations returning to normal.

So you think they should continue to risk their own lives and other because the company won’t provide further safe guards you are kidding yourself. As essential workers they should receive everything they want with out question.

Disgraceful action from these workers. Disrespectful to fellow victorians and especially the healthcare workers on the true frontline
