Democratic candidates are making their final push for votes ahead of the South Carolina Primary this weekend.

The event is critical for Joe Biden's White house hopes, but recent polling suggests it may not transpire the way the former Vice President would like. Politics reporter at Axios Steph Kight told Sky News Joe Biden said he “will win” South Carolina and he “has to win South Carolina” to keep his campaign going.

“For a while there Bernie Sanders was seeming to come close to Joe Biden in the polls, even in south Carolina, but following the debate earlier this week we really saw Biden pull away from Bernie sanders, and Sanders drop a bit in South Carolina,” she said. “Of course Bernie Sanders is still by far the leading candidate in national polls. “But this is really crucial for Biden to keep going.
