Editor of Tech Guide Stephen Fenech says the government’s COVIDSafe app has had “issues and teething problems” especially for old smartphones users.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has stressed Australia is “not too far” from restrictions being relaxed as he paints the COVIDSafe app as the “ticket” to the road back.

But Mr Fenech has told Sky News “the unfortunate thing” about the COVIDSafe app is “for a vast number of people” if they do have older devices “the app simply won’t work”. Image: Getty
