Sydney residents braved blustery conditions to be tested for coronavirus on Thursday as more venues were added to the list of potential exposure sites

Credit:On Thursday, people who attended the Fratelli Fresh restaurant at Westfield Sydney on Tuesday, April 27, from 1.15pm to 2.15pm or Bondi Trattoria at Bondi Beach on Thursday, April 29, from 12.45pm to 1.30pm were asked to test and self-isolate.

Bondi local Max Barrett had not been to any of the listed venues, but decided to get a test at the Bondi Beach drive-through clinic after he woke up on Wednesday with “a bit of an itch”. “It feels like the start of a cold, but just with the recent cases I thought I needed to get down there,” the 27-year-old said.Registered nurse Emma Birrell hard at work at the Bondi Beach drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic“I was blown away by how many people there were,” he said, noting the line seemed to move more quickly than it had during previous tests, possibly because people now complete their paperwork on a form they receive via text.

A new pop-up clinic has been established at Albion Street Centre Laverty Pathology in Surry Hills, which is open until 8pm on weekdays.

A 'likelihood' NSW will get on top of COVID-19 transmission: Peter Collignon | Sky News AustraliaThe NSW government's response to another case of community transmission of the coronavirus is 'proportional' and has a 'likelihood' of getting control of the spread, according to Infectious Diseases Expert Professor Peter Collignon. \n\n'Well, I think they've adopted a proportional response to what the level of risk is at the moment. There is still one person we haven't found,' he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.\n\n'But equally 80 per cent of people don't really transmit this to others. \n\n'Secondly, because they get the population on side and comply it decreases the chance of having a super spreading event because they're limiting indoor crowds- particularly without masks.\n\n'And on top of that - so far the people in Sydney in all the past outbreaks have responded very well in getting testing when anybody has any symptoms - and they have been able to get control of this.'\n\n
