The Premier has warned Qld's virus cases may not peak until September.

Banking and government leaders are warning the economy will not be the same after the devastating impact of coronavirus.

Westpac was initially forecasting a deep recession with 17 per cent unemployment, before the economic rescue efforts were unveiled. After the government’s stimulus measures, the bank is now predicting a peak unemployment rate of nine per cent falling to seven per cent by the end of the year.Mr King said preparing the economy for a quick restart was crucial. “What we know from previous periods of disruption like this is the economy never comes back in exactly the same shape,” he said.

Just lock them out in another state!

This behaviour is appalling. Time to name, shame and take legal action. At the least it is threatening language or verbal assault. No excuse.

It's appalling that this even needs to be said. Anyone who chooses to abuse a health worker should face jail time. There are no excuses.

I heard the Qld Health Minister say that if people see health workers in Qld Health uniforms out on the street they should treat them with respect. Good. But who are the workers out on the street in uniforms. Hospital workers should leave uniforms in the hospital for laundering.

This is why lockdown too eay or too much will prolong the inevitable
