“Around 2000 male applicants were subject to discriminatory assessment practices which prevented them from progressing through the recruitment process over an 18 month period from July 2016 to the end of 2017. The investigation also revealed a “recurring pattern” of misleading, deceptive and false reporting practices in relation to recruitment, the CCC said.
“While admirable in its intention, the strategy was a challenging one for the QPS within the realities of their recruiting environment and there was ambiguity about whether the then Commissioner had directed staff to ensure 50 per cent of recruits were female, or whether this was an ‘aspirational’ target with a recognition that it may not be met,” Mr MacSporran said.

These males should be found got to the Academy ASAP and when graduated after short 4 month Course as Qld had in Johs day sent to Townsville for 1st 12 months of Sworn in service while City has a vehicle not stolen or building not B&E'd? Kids run riot Curfew & Big Coppers needed?

It’s ridiculous. Should all be based on merit. I see a lot of females hitting a quota that aren’t as qualified. It makes it harder for the females who are qualified to get jobs and promotions because the ‘quota’ has already been filled with those shoved into the position first.
Same at Fire and Rescue NSW.
