The federal Coalition has recommitted to taking a tax reform package that targets bracket creep to the next election.

Two senior shadow ministers have confirmed the Coalition's commitment to take a tax reform package that targets bracket creep to the next election.

Shadow finance minister Jane Hume said the Coalition was not seeking to restore the stage three tax cuts because they had been"trashed" by the government. Picture: Sky News Australia “Now that has been trashed by this government, even when reform was already embedded, already costed, already paid for in the system, they still repealed it because they are so gun shy of genuine tax reform."

“Critical to that is making sure that that we don't see the insidious creep of income taxes,” he said, pointing out there had been a 23 per cent increase in the personal income taxes paid due to inflation under the Albanese government.
