Sky News host Chris Kenny says “the trouble with climate alarmists and green activists is they don't want to look at history”.

Sky News host Chris Kenny says “the trouble with climate alarmists and green activists is they don't want to look at history”. “Yes the smoke is bad, the bushfires are terrible, but for perspective it is always good to look at history, to look at facts,” he said.

"We could go to the Goulburn Evening Post of November 12, 1951 for a story about how bushfires had created smoke haze affecting air services. "Or even earlier in October 1936, the Adelaide News tells us of bushfire smoke creating havoc on the Sydney harbour." Mr Kenny said green activists "want to catastrophise everything, have the memories of millennials but don't bother to use Google to check their claims".

Can you blame them they're afraid they might uncover a bought and paid for dinosoaur called Chris.

Chris Kenny = right wing extremist. PS I'm choking on smoke. fires

One wonders how the Climate Alarmists would view the WORST STORM EVER IN THE U.K. KILLING 8,000 PEOPLE. Trouble is it happened in 1703. Hard to blame climate change then. pwafork AyesHavit ABC outsiders smh ZanettiCartoons mirandadevine RitaPanahi

Is there any chance you can get actual experts on your shows rather than in-house journalists parading as commentators or is that commentators parading as journalists and of course those from the theipa and associated entities? Critical informed discourse would be so nice.

And don't read the real news from NASA

No climate denying at Newscorp says Rupe

On behalf of all those out there fighting fires I’d like to say, who gives a rats arse what Chris Kenny has to say.

The trouble with ideological deniers like Kenny is that they don't want to accept the findings of 90% of climate experts.

raythemouse I don’t ever remember being shrouded in smoke for 3 days... and we need to learn from history.., not just look at it you dumbfuck Kenny

So true. We're living with generations of stupid, inept, ignorant people who don't know a thing about the past.

Who recalls Dorothea Mackellar's famous Australian poem written 1904? 'I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains, of ragged mountain ranges, of droughts & flooding rains. I love her far horizons I love her jewel sea, her beauty & her terror, the wide brown land for me'

No one is arguing that there hasn't been bushfires before Chris Strawman building political failed fucklenumpty

Uglyduckping What do you expect from people who still think the British empire are the good guys.

Did you mean the history of climate denialists and green haters? Or maybe the history of people who can't interpret statistical analysis?

You insult the firies whose decades of experience says otherwise. What will it take for you ignorant science illiterate dinosaurs to accept the science and the daily reality. This is not a dress rehearsal.

Greens activists are not interested in history. “in history there is knowledge”. What’s the use of that.

Greens policies are responsible for the severity of the fires and should be held liable.

Where did they find this geezer. He belongs with cave men.

I look at climate change like this. Yes some of our climate change is natural BUT we are contributing to that change with the use of fossil fuels and growing methane emissions. My analogy: So should we piss in the pool, just because others are pissing in it?

Of course we’ve always had fires and floods but those we’re experiencing now are much fiercer, and of course the weather always changes but not with current severity,

Including geological history. CO2 which greens the earth, a beautiful driver of plant growth & soil moisturiser is in fact presently quite low levels when looked at in terms of geological time. Let’s look at is good side for a change.

Chris Kenny is a Very Dangerous Liberal Man More Lies

the problem with deniers is they want us to be history

Lefties have infiltrated local councils. How's that working out? Oh, and gw promotes arsonists. I'm so tired of uneducated turnips

They don't understand realities only ideology

Here is some History for you Chris.....

Appalling denial of something we can all see and too many Australians are today paying a terrible price for past inaction.

Correct.

But we keep beating the historical records.

The problem with Chris Kenny is that his head is so far up his arse he can’t see the extremes are bigger and MORE OFTEN!!

The trouble with climate deniers is that climate alarmists know they should be alarmed BECAUSE OF historical, archaeological and geological records.

Could it be that the Greens activists have already looked at the history, and concluded with our current situation?

When Kenny gets a Degree in Science then maybe someone will listen

Well ,as an environmental alarmist I am more concerned with the here and now. Climate change or not, our environment is certainly being changed by our destructive behaviours.

ThisisRaysBlog Coz history will show the truth . 🤬

Do y’all really think that climate scientists haven’t looked at history? Do y’all really think that they don’t understand natural variations in temperature? Do y’all really think they don’t take this into account?

The ironic aspect of your story is that history, in fact, supports the climate change argument. When was the last time Iron Range burned? When was the last time Eungella burned?

I can't believe you have posted something that does not mention the ABC .Did you sleep in and missed ABC news .

When will Fido realise it dosnt matter how much the coal people pay him to talk shit people’s homes are burning and the science says different he should stfu and apologise

The apocalyptic cult hisses endlessly.

Of course not. That’s too hard. Besides I’m sure most don’t read either!

And denialists dont like the fact. Choosing instead to cherry-pick things that 'back up' their stance without rigorous research or expertise.

Doomers hurt the hope our kids have for the future and give them gender confusion and illicit drugs to add to their despair

Greens must shoulder the blame with their fire hazard policies

Chris Fucking Kenny...

Murdoch just said there were no denialists in his organisation and yet Chris Kenny is Exhibit A
