Emergency services are still responding to calls for assistance across metropolitan Adelaide after yesterday's damaging winds. More than 4,700 properties remain without power.

Police advise motorists to detour via Redbanks Road to Boundary Road, and said Hog Bay Road was expected to remain closed for at least the next 8 to 12 hours.Crews from the Metropolitan Fire Service were called to assist after wild weather hit the state yesterday. Paul Roberts from SA Power Networks said some people may be waiting "well into this evening" for power to be restored.
