China's acting ambassador to Israel has caused a stir with remarks comparing the travel bans against Chinese citizens with the turning away of Jewish refugees during the Holocaust.

China's acting ambassador to Israel has caused a stir with remarks comparing the travel bans against Chinese citizens with the turning away of Jewish refugees during the Holocaust.

In an English-language conference in Tel Aviv, Dai Yuming said the travel bans faced by Chinese citizens reminds him of"the old days, the old stories that happened in World War Two, the Holocaust, the darkest days in human history." "Millions of Jewish were killed, and many, many Jewish were refused when they tried to seek assistance from other countries. Only very, very few countries opened their door, and among them is China," he said. The Chinese Embassy in Israel later released a statement apologising for the remarks.

"There was no intention whatsoever to compare the dark days of the Holocaust with the current situation and the efforts taken by the Israeli government to protect its citizens." Israel has joined other countries in denying entry to non-national visitors who have recently been in China.

Seriously, after what they do to their people and countries they invade ,eg; Tibet , by taking away freedom of speech, religious prosecution and Chinese calling there country the motherland ( that is very much like the old Nazi Germany)!

The next comment from the Chinese will state that these actions violate Human Rights !!!!

Racists Chinese

That is the ignorance and pushy way the Chinese are. Caring for themselves and just for themselves, at the same time the rest of the world is helping them out. If this started in another country like Australia, China would have stop all export and travel immediately.

absolutely ridiculous comment....

Palestine moves to sever ties with Israel and US | Sky News AustraliaPalestine has moved to cut all ties with Israel and the United States after rejecting President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan. \n\nThe blueprint called for the creation of a demilitarised Palestinian state, excluding Jewish settlements. \n\nUnder the plan the US would also recognise Israeli settlements on occupied West Bank land, and Jerusalem as Israel's capital. \n\nPalestinian President Mahmoud Abbas refused to negotiate with President Trump and did not believe the plan would achieve peace. \n\nImage: Getty Hope they do the same for Australia. Not even willing to engage in negotiations. It's time for Australia to pull the plug on aid for Palestine- they're clearly not interested in a real 'Two State solution'. Palestine cut ties with Israel and the United StatesPalestine has rejected US President Donald Trump's peace plan for the Middle East and has cut all ties with America and Israel. This is what happens when two guys in your club buy each other iPhones and offer you two tin cans and a piece of string. Yassar Arafat diid the same thing after getting EXACTLY WHAT HE ASKED FOR. This is meaningless drivel. Decades of confrontation have given the Palestinians nothing but continue to give ground. Negotiation is the only hope for a better life.

Australia to deny entry to travellers from China | Sky News AustraliaForeign travellers coming from or passing through mainland China will be denied entry to Australia as the government ramps up its defence against the deadly coronavirus spreading around the globe.\n\nExemptions will be made for Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family as well as aircrews, under strict conditions.\n\n“All travellers arriving out of mainland China, not just Hubei province as has been the case up until now, are being asked and required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from the time they leave mainland China,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.\n\nTravel advice for mainland China has been raised to level four or “do not travel”. Ramps up = finally makes a call, dragged to making the right decision Finally What if people fly from China to another country and then fly to Aus (within 14 days)? Relying on Border Force finding and reading the exit stamp date on the passport? If yes, I hope their maths is goood enough and fast enough especially when the time zone is also a variable.

Well done Australia. Finally doing something to protect our borders and citizens. Australia StopCoronavirus

Travellers from China to be banned from entering Australia for two weeksPeople who have visited or transited through mainland China will be banned from entering Australia for two weeks, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced, as the number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to nearly 12,000 globally It can’t and won’t be a long term BAN as the Australian Economy would be smashed. Not saying the decision is right or wrong, but imagine being a Chinese international Student on a valid Student VISA and going back for a Chinese New Year then unable to return to Australia. Anyone hear a dog whistle? Why isn’t it indefinite until it’s under control?
