Foreign travellers coming from or passing through mainland China will be denied entry to Australia as the government ramps up its defence against the deadly coronavirus spreading around the globe.

Exemptions will be made for Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family as well as aircrews, under strict conditions. “All travellers arriving out of mainland China, not just Hubei province as has been the case up until now, are being asked and required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from the time they leave mainland China,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said. Travel advice for mainland China has been raised to level four or “do not travel”.

Communist China does it again. Swine flu, bird flu and now this!

That is good to hear

What if people fly from China to another country and then fly to Aus (within 14 days)? Relying on Border Force finding and reading the exit stamp date on the passport? If yes, I hope their maths is goood enough and fast enough especially when the time zone is also a variable.

Finally

Ramps up = finally makes a call, dragged to making the right decision
