Liberal MP Kevin Andrews says China is moving in with its “debt diplomacy” in the South Pacific.

“They’ve had to try and renegotiate their loans,” Mr Andrews told Sky News Australia.

“And we have to ensure that we have good relations with our South Pacific neighbours and help them in such a way that we ensure that China just doesn’t waltz into the area and take over the ability to control maritime and major trading lanes to the US and indeed throughout Asia and the Pacific itself.”

Fact is Xi and only Morrison aren't talking . The rest of democracies are talking to China. US UK EU SE Asia even Japan and SKorea to China relationship seems few notches better than Australia , then one wonders if extreme right wing forces are operating in Australia.

Omg Kevin Andrews the infamous latent bigot. Not even worth the news.

And Albo and Wong want to kowtow to the Chinese and XI! Traitorous behaviour from them.

Well maybe Kevin, if you didn't pull Aus Aid from pacific countries there wouldn't have been a gap to fill which China took advantage of.
