Child dies in Melbourne shed fire

Emergency services were called to Belle Vue Avenue in Ringwood about 6pm on Saturday to find a shed at the rear of a property alight.“The child is believed to be a resident of the property,” police said in a statement.

“The circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined at this stage and the investigation is ongoing.”“Crews extinguished the blaze that was located in a shed at the rear of the property and the scene was handed over to fire investigation teams and Victoria Police for further investigation,” the spokesperson said.
