Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the censure motion allowed Scott Morrison to justify to the parliament why he failed to disclose his self-appointments to several ministries to the public.

“I guess what it did achieve … it made Scott Morrison justify to the parliament why he did what he did,” Mr Clennell told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“I think some people will feel sorry for him, though and think the government are kicking him while he’s down; I’m not sure it was the success that the government saw it as.”

Scott Morrison is a true hero for Australia. Albanese is not fit to tie Scott's shoe laces.

'Justify'

i don’t want see him anywhere information

Nobody cares about this issue except Labor

Well he didn’t do a good job did he. Oh and for the record when the media did ask him about the secret ministries he didn’t fully disclose what had occured.

Scott took kickbacks for many proposals that he passed as a Minister of different portfolios..

So when can we expect a similar investigation into goings on in Victoria? Or was it just an AlboWitchHunt ? auspol

It provided a reminder to us all of what a morally bankrupt and dishonest man he is. Nothing more.

Whitlam and Barnard formed a two-man government, known as a duumvirate, to govern until a full ministry could be announced. Barnard held 14 portfolios while Whitlam held 13 and they immediately set to work on their reform agenda

Censure motion against Scott Morrison passesSky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says 'there will be debate' on whether the censure motion was needed against Scott Morrison. 'Or whether the government even needed it politically?' Mr Clennell said. 'I don't think you would have seen Hawke or Keating or Howard more such a censure motion.' Scott Morrison has become the first prime minister to be censured in the House over his secret appointment to five ministerial portfolios while in the top job. Not really. A clear majority of the country, and parliament, think he was a terrible PM who did some reckless and ridiculous things. Of course it wasn’t. Nothing illegal was done. End of story. Like killing someone when they are already dead.
