Celeste Barber has used social media to raise millions of dollars for Australian firefighters amid the bushfire crisis. 9News

Just after 3am, her Facebook campaign had raised more than $14 million, attracking hundreds of thousands of donations.in Eden, which is one of many NSW South Coast towns at risk from the fires sweeping Australia."They are scared. They need your help. International donations can be made via the link in my bio."

The post has only been live for just over a day, with the tragedy attracting the likes of international mega-star Pink, actress Selma Blair and US comedian Gary Janetti all pledging large sums of money to the NSW Rural Fire Service. Barber responded to the overwhelming response posting on Facebook yesterday afternoon: "This is out of control! You are all out of control. My love and appreciation for you all is out of control.

Known for her comedic parodies of celebrity social media posts, Barber 's plea for help for the NSWRFS has exceeded expectations.
