Cam McCarthy has been fondly remembered as a “beautiful son and brother” by his shattered family. It was just seven days ago when the former Fremantle and GWS Giants star was found unresponsive by paramedics at his parents house in Lake Coogee in Perth’s south. On the Friday evening, the following day, there were incredibly moving scenes when McCarthy’s former teammates Nat Fyfe and Alex Pearce were in tears ahead of their match against the Sydney Swans.
“A man who wasn’t concerned with money or power, instead creativity and experience. “A man who approached all things with energy and excitement, as if viewing them for the first time. “A man whose presence will be sorely missed, but whose outlook and opinion can be heard any time we wish to listen.
