Trees just obstruct views, lowering property prices. They should all be cut down.

You kidding? Sydney hates trees.

Let me cast light on high-rise debate before Sydney submits to shadowsThe Lord Mayor argues the approval of tower at Cockle Bay will not only rob Town Hall Square of sunlight but set a dangerous precedent for the city. CloverMoore Yes, light is needed. Electric light, that is. The whole boom of apartment and office towers will get stuck in power shortages as coal plants close down due to aging while not sufficient renewable capacity INCLUDING hydro storage is built in a timely manner. CloverMoore NSW is energy guzzler number 1, utterly dependent on power imports from Qld and VIC. We did not have load shedding in 2019 like in 2017 because Queensland was not abnormally hot. But with global warming the likelihood of a simultaneous heatwave in all Eastern States will go up CloverMoore I have told the GSC planning panel in Parramatta already twice that they are over booking Sydney's future power supplies by rubber stamping all these highrises, often unwanted by Councils. But they do not want to listen. Sydney's Immigration Metros
