A woman who lost her home in the NSW bushfires brought the charred remains of her home to Parliament House to protest the government's lack of action.

A woman who lost her home in the NSW bushfires says neither of the major parties have shown leadership on addressing climate change.

Ms Plesman said she wanted to show Prime Minister Scott Morrison the direct result of climate change."I'm losing my home, whole communities are losing their homes ... and the Prime Minister said we're not allowed to talk about it."But she also criticised Labor for not wanting to discuss the link between climate change and bushfires.

"We need a bipartisan approach. I completely understand that the Labor party are absent in this as well."She wants the Prime Minister to set a price on carbon, phase out native forest logging, immediately shift Australia towards renewables and stop mining coal.

Blame the fkn greenies who think that they know better! She should sue them ..but the greenies have underground now..THEY SHOULD BE DEREGISTED!

Oh they mean UN Lima and Agenda 21Agreement 🤔

Desperate times call for desperate measures 🙄

It’s very sad that she lost her home. I hope she had all the bushfire precautions around her home as well as insurance. Bushfires are sometimes deliberately lit and can soon get out of control with the winds. We should be blaming all the previous PM’s for not being proactive!

Typical female who just can't accept that shit happens.

Idiotic to think climate policy is to blame for a bushfire flattening your house.....

Are people that naive to think we have direct control over the climate above our heads FFS Morrison could do everything within his power and I bet we’d still get devastating bushfires, especially the deliberately lit ones. It’s a global problem. It takes global action.

Wow so scomo controls climate now!

Australia is meeting Paris but it won’t make a shred of difference. There is no shield around us. Even if we could magically bring our emissions down to zero, it would only take two more months of Chinese emissions to cancel that reduction out.

organize bring friends n neighbours Dumbo MPs would only listen to big groups They only want to talk to groupies

Last night there was a strong timber-burning smell in Holsworthy area which kept us awake as there was a fire incident last year too!

Let’s hope her Home & Contents Insurance is in place

Devastating loss for this lady. I'm wondering however when our PM became solely responsible for global climate change? Something which has been happening for millions of years. And will happen long after humans are gone. I don't see our PM changing that.

It's not lost it's right there next to her in the photo!

Wow, didnt know ScoMo had ownership of climate change.

The stupidest thing on Twitter today.

When did Scomo become the Climate Whisperer?

Lady who live in the bush loses her house to bush fire.

The world's 'war against nature must stop,' UN chief says ahead of global climate summitThe world must stop a 'war against nature' and find more political will to combat climate change, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said on the eve of a two-week global climate summit in Madrid. Unfortunately all these politicians are focussed on CO2 rather than the real problems of deforestation and air and water pollution.
