Comment: In Sam Burgess' eyes, everyone else is to blame: the refs, the officials, the media. Perhaps it's time to look in the mirror.

A week or so ago, NRL head of football Graham Annesley met with South Sydney football boss Shane Richardson to talk about a funny old game they call rugby league.Sam Burgess didn't hold back when asked about the NRL judiciary process. The discussion was about the match review committee and the judiciary, two arms of the NRL that Burgess has become familiar with over the years, particularly this one.

Souths might have let their anger go but Burgess didn't get the memo. On Tuesday, at an all-in media op with print reporters, he took a scatter-gun to the NRL.— which means it makes predetermined decisions — and that he and other players have been the victims of “trial by media” set off all sorts of alarm bells at NRL headquarters.“show cause why he should not be issued with a breach notice”You’ll have noticed that Souths have made no comment about their captain’s remarks.

Burgess is entitled to his opinion. He’s not alone when it comes to frustrations about the MRC and judiciary. There shouldn't be so much an "end-of-season review" as a Royal Commission into some of its mind-numbing decisions.

Pentagon urges restraint as US blames Iran for Saudi strikesUS military officials are also privately urging caution, seeking to defuse tensions they believe could push the United States into a possibly bloody conflict. This is disturbing. If it's confirmed that Iran is behind it, what practical or moral reasoning is there for not responding in a manner that severely deters any future attacks? Should no one ever respond to aggression since it could lead to further conflict? 🙄 I thought Saudi also proved Iran was involved,,
