Alice Springs Desert Park has been bursting with flashes of colourful outcrops of wildflowers thanks to perfect rainfall conditions earlier in the year.

This year's wildflower season has been one of the best thanks to a good wet season at the end of 2020 and into 2021.

"We've had self-germination, we've had seed scatter, and we've had minimal planting from the nursery," he said. "We're now starting to watch for when the flowers are starting to turn to seed so we can start doing some of our seed harvesting for the next season," he said.Alice Springs Desert Park has a field of wildflowers.
