Richmond could be without seven members of their best 22 for next Sunday’s meeting with Sydney at the Gabba as the wounded Tigers count the cost of a bruising MCG win over Melbourne. --- via agerealfooty

but are poised to leave for their Gold Coast hub on Monday without premiership heroes Shane Edwards and Bachar Houli.Richmond meanwhile lost ruckman Toby Nankervis , reigning best and fairest Dion Prestia , and captain Trent Cotchin during the win over the Dees. Spearhead Tom Lynch played out the game but is in doubt for next week, while David Astbury is already sidelined.

“Toby, syndesmosis, Dion syndesmosis, Trent’s got a slight hamstring. Obviously those guys won’t play next week. Tom’s got a broken finger, we’re not too sure. We’ll see how that goes but obviously he played out the game so we’re hoping that’ll be OK,” Hardwick said. He said he wasn’t totally sure whether all those players would head to the hub, but indicated that a handful of younger players would stay in Victoria, suggesting the AFL would not allow scratch matches during the period of the hubs.

Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin was again left frustrated by the Demons’ poor cohesion between their midfield and forward line.“It was a familiar tale. We turned the ball over forward of centre and they punished us. And that was really the game. Outside of that it was a pretty even contest but they won that turnover game on the back of their good pressure, but also on the back of some of our really disappointing execution,” Goodwin said.

Cleary, Edwards have last laugh as Panthers beat Wests TigersTwo tries to centre Stephen Crichton and a clutch field goal by Nathan Cleary inspired the Penrith Panthers to a 19-12 triumph over a gallant Wests Tigers in a fiery clash on Saturday night at Bankwest Stadium. Ref lost control of the game You notice the games speed of play difference between the top8 and bottom8. Bottom8 have no chance unless they change their attack/defence structures Playing against 16 players on the field was just too much in the end. Disgraceful performance from the ref. Atrocious, almost as bad as allowing panthers to attack heads all night long
