UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson faces a tense few days as he awaits the publication of a report into lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street.

Concerns about the report have been compounded by a fight within the government about new measures to address the cost-of-living crisis.

The assumption among Tory MPs is that Boris Johnson will have an ugly 48 hours when Sue Gray’s report into the partygate investigation is published but will ultimately survive it.
