Premier Mark McGowan said WA's borders may not even open to hotspot areas this year. 9News

Premier Mark McGowan said borders may not even open to hotspot areas this year, with WA managing to keep"The chances are border closures will go for months and months and months," Mr McGowan said today. All the latest on coronavirus around Australia In June, Mr McGowan announced a proposed lift on border restrictions for August 8 would not go ahead – even when Victoria just had a few hundred cases of coronavirus.

Now it appears the state's ban on arrivals from other states and territories could remain until 2021. "As to whether it's before the end of the year, as to whether it's before the middle of next year, I cannot put a date on it," Mr McGowan said on the weekend.

Can we acknowledge that not ALL of Victoria is a bloody hotspot then

Do what you want 20yrs here an never been to WA probably never go there in the next 20yrs

Time for Scott Morrison to intervene on rogue premiers not sticking to the national response. If they continue the unreasonable hard borders then all federal funding from the tax payer is to be cut off. If all Australians cannot visit these states freely then no tax payer money!

Not going to happen Marky Mark and you know it 😁

It simply means, you come to WA, and that OK ! But you pay for two weeks hotel quarantine, so if you have the virus, we know who you have been with here. What's wrong with that ? Unless your Clive Palmer.

Sensible conclusion . .

The lunacy is deeply embedded.

YODsupporter The number of deaths in Aged Care must reduce the number of occupants too YODsupporter Hopefully, for a while at least, people might view aged care as a last resort rather than a convenient way to hand off responsibility. For some there is no other option and some go in willingly but for too many it is a parking station where they're forgotten.
