Australians received a record number of COVID-19 vaccinations on Thursday, as the country passed 6 million booster shots and more children received their first vaccine dose.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said it was the highest number of vaccines given in any single day in Australia’s history. There were 264,764 boosters recorded, 10,000 more than were administered the previous Thursday. The figure is about 60 per cent of those who had received their second dose four months ago, up from about 50 per cent uptake last week.James Brickwood
