New South Wales Police Minister David Elliott says while he personally 'can't wait to see a return to our freedoms,' Black Lives Matter protests have been deemed illegal for a number of important reasons.

New South Wales Police Minister David Elliott says while he personally "can't wait to see a return to our freedoms," Black Lives Matter protests have been deemed illegal for a number of important reasons. "We can't make it any clearer that these public gatherings are illegal," Mr Elliott told Sky News host Chris Kenny. "They're illegal because we cannot control the crowds," he said.

The NSW Court of Appeal today upheld the Supreme Court’s decision to block the protest, meaning those who attend on Tuesday, could face fines and possible arrest. Organisers have told the media they are planning to hold the protest regardless. Mr Elliot also said the protests are illegal "because we cannot identify anybody who would be party to that mass gathering in the event that somebody is subsequently found the be carrying the coronavirus".

I don't blame him. It must be annoying and frustrating having the police put up with idiots that want to make covid hang around as long as possible by ignoring all the health laws.

If BLM in AUS, then why expose BL by attending a march that remains silent on the 100's of indigenous deaths/1000's of indigenous hospitalisations from domestic violence (yearly)? Instead of masking BL deaths in AUS, BLM should focus upon ALL BL not just the ones that suit.

There’s a time and place amd now is not the time

Good for them blm are terrorists rest of the world should do the same

Blm is hate. They show their hate even to their black mamba lovers

What freedoms have we lost, can someone please explain this to me. The issue is will be how this is handled as it goes ahead. Will they follow americas lead with violence coming on both sides, the americanisation of Australia
