Biden's gaffe shows the Left values 'identity over ideas' | Sky News Australia

Joe Biden's off-the-cuff remark that "you ain't black" if you support Donald Trump is indicative of the Left's obsession with "identity over ideas" according to Sky News host James Morrow. Mr Biden apologised after making the comment to an African American radio host, saying he shouldn't have been so cavalier".

The comment came under heavy criticism on social media and triggered outrage among individuals in the African American community. Black voters helped to resurrect Mr Biden's campaign in the Democratic primaries after he suffered early setbacks in predominantly white areas. According to a survey by AP news agency of 17 states that voted in February and March, 61% of black voters supported Mr Biden during the primary.
