Despite backlash from disappointed DC Comics fans the last time he played the superhero, Affleck is making a comeback in The Flash.

Director Andy Muschietti confirmed to the publication that different versions of Batman will be seen in the film.

“His Batman has a dichotomy that is very strong, which is his masculinity — because of the way he looks, and the imposing figure that he has, and his jawline — but he’s also very vulnerable. “He’s a very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie. The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before.

“I’m glad to be collaborating with someone who has been on both sides of the camera, too … he understands.”Director Andy Muschietti says Affleck’s return as Batman will be “a very substantial part” of the movie. Picture: Supplied.

Race to save life of fierce Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny after suspected poisoningAlexei Navalny is battling for his life in a Siberian hospital after a suspected poisoning as Germany prepares to dispatch an air ambulance to bring him to Europe for treatment. Obviously he was poisoned because someone out there doesn't want him to win the election. Outrageous that SBS publish this tale without a blush, when the cause of his illness has not been diagnosed. Putin dunnit again no doubt. Utterly shameless 'reporting'. Silencing critics by poison is the MO. Blatant.
