Basin communities share experiences of life under the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, in what they say is the 37th review into the water management scheme.

For what they say is the 37th time, farmers, teachers, business owners and community members have testified about the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and how it has negatively impacted upon their lives.

But with these annual croppers competing in an open water market, the returns on many of these crops is no longer worth the cost of water to grow them.President of Biralee Preschool in Finley Jane Harris said the impacts of the plan upon the community were being felt by all businesses. "It has a big impact on our ability to employ people and keep that money circulating in our community.

Ms Napier said producers needed help to do more with less water, and she wanted to see increased investment in research and development. "In the beginning there was a community consultation process and here we are, we are still in a community consultation process.
