Barnaby Joyce has made an extraordinary intervention into the New South Wales abortion debate, taking part in a robocall to constituents.

In a pre-recorded message to voters, Mr Joyce argues against decriminalising abortion in NSW.

The member for New England also argues the changes would allow selective abortions based on the sex of the baby. The divisive NSW abortion bill is due to be debated in the upper house on Tuesday, during which at least 20 amendments are expected to be moved. Image: News Corp Australia

I am against the legislation in its current form, but robocalls are really VERY anti-privacy. A HUGE invasion of privacy. Barnaby, be more like Tim Fischer. Just TRY.

NSW abortion bill imposes death penalty on the innocentTo say that even though abortion on the date of an expected birth would never happen is not saying that it is not allowed to happen. Barnaby_Joyce seriously. Stop with the ill informed emotive “day before birth” termination rhetoric. If you think any woman would make that decision you are seriously deluded. Late term abortions (beyond 20 weeks) are usually due to horrendous unsurvivable birth defects. This article is so ridiculous I don’t even know where to start. Why are you publishing this nonsense ? Abortion, the ultimate expression of hypergamy. Know why they screech and hiss with such fury men.
