Vietnam set to request Australian support in South China Sea | Sky News AustraliaVietnam will request support in countering China’s influence in the South China Sea during Scott Morrison’s Hanoi visit, according to the country’s ambassador to Australia.\n\nThe Prime Minister is stopping in the Vietnamese capital on the way to the G7, with the visit expected to largely centre around trade.\n\nThe trip marks the first stand-alone visit by an Australian Prime Minister to the South East Asian nation since 1994.\n Vietnam government isn't much better. The world should change the sea name to East Asia sea to recognize EEZ of Vietnam, Phillipine, Malaysia, Brunei. The name South China sea was wrong. It only increased China's ambition and aggression. The claim by China was absolutely absurd. Why the world called it South China sea when the large part of that sea belonged to many nations in the region. The sea should be divided by the close borderline of each country.

Macron tells Johnson there won't be a new Brexit deal in 30 days | Sky News AustraliaBoris Johnson has had his bid to get France's support for a new Brexit deal in 30 days rebuffed on a trip to Paris.\n\nThe UK prime minister was told by French President Emmanuel Macron that they would 'not find a new withdrawal agreement' within a month that is 'very different from the existing one'.\n\nHowever, in a boost for Mr Johnson, Mr Macron said the existing withdrawal agreement hammered out between former PM Theresa May and EU Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier 'can be amended'.\n\nThe French president said there needed to be 'visibility' from the UK over what it wants 'in 30 days', but reiterated the key part of the current deal known as the Irish backstop was 'indispensable' and not about 'legal quibbling'.\n\nBut Mr Johnson remained optimistic, saying 'where there's a will, there's a way' and adding he was 'looking forward to developing those thoughts in the next few weeks'.\n\nImage: AP Hmm Macron is he still there? Macron is a follower, not a leader. Macron is 'owned' by the EU. Totally useless.
