The Russian state space agency has launched a robot to the International Space Station.

The Soyuz MS-14 usually takes cosmonauts to the International Space Station but there was no human crew.

Instead, Skybot was on board to act as an all-purpose stand-in for humans. The journey was a huge test for critical new upgrades to the craft including the abort system. Image: AP

Anti-abortion proponents trying to 'delay bill' | Sky News AustraliaNSW Independent MP Alex Greenwich says it is 'deeply unfortunate' that opponents of anti-abortion legislation are attempting to delay the vote in the upper house.\n\nThe legislation, which passed the state's lower house, allow terminations up to 22 weeks as well as later abortions if there is the consent of two doctors.\n\nThe bill, which is a conscience vote, will be considered by parliamentarians in the NSW upper house in mid-September.\n\nLiberal backbencher Tanya Davies told Sky News the community has not been adequately consulted on the “grotesque” ramifications of this bill, which she claims will legalise gender-based abortion.\n\nMr Greenwich told Sky News that people 'have been campaigning for this law for decades' and if it passes 'women will be treated with the same dignity and respect as other women in Australia.'\n\nHe said the Australian Medical Association has assured him that gender selections 'are not a problem' in NSW, and that opponents are using it as a 'talking point' in order to stymie the legislation.\n\n I think you meant to say that the Christian Taliban are delaying the vote in an attempt to force non-religious people to live under their Taliban regime's rules. Religious takeover of a secular society is the same, regardless of the religion.
