For the second consecutive evening in Melbourne, a fifth-set super tiebreak was needed to decide a third round match – but this time, the Australian finished on top.

It was a match that featured injury scares, crowd fights, spilt blood, chair umpire spats and temper tantrums, but Kyrgios steadied his emotions to power through the drama. "That was insane. I've got no words to how I'm feeling right now … I don't even know what's going on."I was losing it mentally a little bit … I thought I was going to lose, honestly."" is a warrior.
