The federal government has brushed off concerns Australia’s vaccine distribution schedule will be delayed by new export controls enforced by the European Union .
The EU yesterday gave itself the power to ration vaccine exports developed within its borders which means all drugs must given approval before they leave the 27 nation states. However, Australia has maintained its rollout timeline is unaffected and 1.2 million doses of the Astrazeneca vaccine will be delivered from offshore in March. The company is expected to provide a total of 3.8 million jabs.
