With a death rate of 0.009, why is the country suspending flights, risking the economy and incurring horrific debt for something that should just naturally run its course. Media and politics are killing more people than Covid 19

Bullshit. The numbers can always be manipulated.

Only since the branch stacking was discovered. Funny how that happened.

Tick tock GladysB tick tock. You only have yourself to blame

Melbourne doctor warns Australia could see US-level COVID-19 outbreakA Melbourne doctor who has worked in three of the city's emergency departments struck by coronavirus has warned Australia could face situations similar to parts of the US devastated by the pandemic. 9News I reside in Sydney & am disappointed our Premier has not enforced more stringent rules (lockdowns etc.). What are they waiting for?! Cases here are increasing rapidly, why not do something now instead of letting it get worse? We won't get near as bad.

Could Australia eliminate COVID-19 like NZ and how would it work?Australia's politicians and top scientists are split over whether we should go all in on a hard elimination plan while Melbourne shuts down. If it works, life could (almost) go back to normal. But what are the risks? Sherryn_G No, we have newscorp here. Sherryn_G Keep in mind that NZ is demographically very different to Melbourne & Sydney. Where we have similarities with NZ, in smaller states, we have effectively eliminated the virus. Big cities are a different challenge. Sherryn_G Guards have to stop shagging arrivals.

Could Australia eliminate COVID-19 like NZ and how would it work?Australia's politicians and top scientists are split over whether we should go all in on a hard elimination plan while Melbourne shuts down. If it works, life could (almost) go back to normal. But what are the risks? | EXPLAINER The best time was 5 months ago. The second best time is now. Since people can’t obey simple instructions we need to go hard now. 2 weeks has passed and no improvement(it’s not too late to pull the trigger!) According to the article, the difference between taking the suppression or elimination approach is a matter of intensity & early timing. What it didn't mention is the level of discipline & cooperation from the public, which i I think it should & that varies from country to country.
