BREAKING: Australia has raised its travel advice for South Korea and Japan as the spread of coronavirus fuels concerns the disease will become a global pandemic.

"The central government, local governments, health officials and medical personnel and the entire people must wage an all-out, concerted response to the problem," he said on Sunday.

DFAT said travellers to Japan should also exercise a high degree of caution after 132 cases were confirmed on the mainland on top of theship moored off the coast of Yokohama. Japan is preparing to host millions of tourists in the lead-up to and during the Olympic Games in July. It has set a goal of 40 million tourists in 2020. Official figures show 6.8 million of its 29 million tourists in 2017 came from China. That made China its No.1 source of tourists, just ahead of South Korea's 6.5 million, making it highly exposed to both markets."I think the Japanese government will look at all of the developments over coming weeks," he said.

The Israeli government on Monday said it would temporarily block entry to all non-residents who had recently visited Japan or South Korea.. It now has a total of 144 infections and two deaths, mostly in the north of the country."Italy has confirmed cases of coronavirus, including deaths. Authorities have introduced measures to restrict the use of public spaces and limit travel in some parts of northern Italy where cases have occurred," the updated travel advice said.

As of Monday afternoon, there have been 78,985 cases, with 2469 deaths worldwide. More than 23,300 people have recovered.

Come on Age only 2.6K people have died , why the panic , more people die from car accidents. Either start revealing the truth or start reporting bull crap from the Chinese and goverments

I was first time text mention to media that Australia allow mainland Chinese students back to Australia and University of West Sydney compensate money for transit from other countries

They are crazy. Australia stands completely undefended. It is simply a matter of luck now. At any stage, and possibly already, we could have a community infection merrily infecting and that’ll take us to a very bad place.

We have the unique advantage of being an island nation, but we throw that away by allowing students of a at risk country in. I'm sure the vast majority are not infected, but all it takes is 1, just look at the 🇰🇷 case in the Church. The Government will regret this policy in time

No mention of North Korea yet

Yet the knob head Morrison opens boarders for Chinese students to enter Australia for the love of, some one get a.............

Ban all East Asians for atleast the time being, preferably forever.

Should continue the travel bann, and cancel allow students from China in Australia. This is murdering our children in visible danger.

Yet Chinese students that pay their way through Australian Uni’s are allowed in. The hypocrisy is amazing.

Good about time. So have many other countries.

But Chinese students can come back to school here. We need the money.
