Health Minister Greg Hunt says there have been four million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered to Australians in July with over 200,000 being administered in a day for the first time.

“That now means that we have reached almost 11.8 million vaccinations, and so far this year, this week, over 583,000 vaccinations in three days,” he said.

Mr Hunt said over eight million people had received their first jab and over 3.65 million their second and Australia is “closing on the 40 per cent figure that have had first doses”. “Today will be the day that we will pass four million doses for this month, at 1.4 million doses are currently in-transit across Australia for use next week.”
