Public service announcement - If police turn up at your front door with an eftpos machine you should call 000

yeah right...

For a start police don't carry eftpos machines, anyone who fall's for that you deserve to get ripped off

Globe trotting scammers know that they can do these hit and runs because so long as they keep moving from city to city and country to country there is little chance that they will be apprehended. Global customs and border security systems need to integrate with phone metadata.

Now you’ve got to have some balls to do that.

Desperate times call for desperate measures

Why are you referring to the person as 'the victim'? They didn't get robbed, they saw through the scam. 👏Not 👏 everyone 👏is 👏a 👏victim.

Because that's how much of a joke Australian police are... We ACTUALLY expect them to be doing this..

Stay tuned. ATO scammers will be turning up at hospitals with eftpos machines up their bums.

What a stupid scam! Who’s going to fall for that?! Anyone who’s ever paid any tax, ever knows the ATO doesn’t work like that. Furthermore, Federal police won’t come to your door, armed with an eftpos machine!
