The ANZ Bank is embarking on an ambitious climate campaign, increasing pressure on farmers, construction firms and other companies to establish low carbon transition plans.

The low carbon deadline will apply to the energy, transport and agriculture sectors.

The decision has already sparked a backlash from senior Nationals MPs and the agricultural sector. The bank’s climate plan supports the net zero emission goal outlined by the Paris agreement.

Great news let ANZ know I'll be down at my local branch soon to transition to ANOTHER BANK!

So ANZ_AU profits take HUGE nosedive & bank will hold customers to ransom if no low carbon plans via higher fees likely How ElliottShayne remains CEO is beyond me given his poor performance. He IS “ultimately accountable” so RESIGN. Shareholders & Customers deserve better!

By by ANZ stop playing God

ElliottShayne Farming and corporate customers of ANZ need to find another bank today. Shareholders of ANZ should sell up today. It’s only going to get worse if the bank insists on going green. Worse, people’s hard earned superannuation is invested in this company.

How do you think we can get to carbon neutral? Or do you think we can just trash the planet so there is no hope of a future for our kids? Climate Change inaction is the ultimate in 'Death Taxes'!

ANZ should stick to its knitting and stop being climate alarmist apologists. Putting pressure on Australian farmers to pollute less... they have had the hardest decade they’ve ever had with droughts, fires etc. give the poor buggers a break you vermin.

Banks need to stay in their lane. Get woke go broke.

Hang on......how about you focus on banking, get that right first and then you can practice virtue signalling?

I'll be urging my friends and family to close their ANZ accounts. Stick to banking, ANZ, rather than economic assassination.

Wankers
